Good Potential Left Unfulfilled Reviewed by Lisa Guest |

Warning: This title contains explicit material. Several years ago, while under the control of a Minder, Kiran Brunner, Josh Mackay killed a man, something he will never forget. Now he is back working for the “Agency,” although Josh knows it’s so that the Agency can keep him under surveillance in the hopes of catching Kir once again – the man who once turned Josh into a Zombie. A new man at the Agency named Brad invites Josh over for an evening and thus begins a new nightmare for Josh. Somehow, he is losing time and his own will. When he is with Brad, Josh is doing everything from making the meals in Brad’s kitchen to having sex. Josh is a gay man but not really interested in Brad, yet he keeps agreeing to sex without understanding why. Meanwhile, Josh is secretly sending emails to Kir. Even though Josh can’t forgive Kir for his actions resulting in murder, he can’t stop the deep feelings he has always had for Kir. Josh knows that something strange is going on and once Kir hears Brad’s name and a description, Kir risks all to save Josh. What happens next could change the course of Josh’s life and maybe rid him of his inner demons and perhaps let him forgive Kir. The second in a new series, ZOMBIE is a unique and interesting story concept within a gay romance. Josh is a very confused man who never seems to know his own mind, whether under another’s influence or his own thought process, while Kir is portrayed as a young man or “boy” yet exhibits more maturity than Josh. Unfortunately, ZOMBIE is extremely confusing if the first story hasn’t been read, with very little back story and weak characterizations that hinder the reader in comprehending exactly what’s happening. ZOMBIE suffers from too many questions and few answers in a potentially good concept left unfulfilled. Reviewed by Lisa Guest
