A Sweet Inspie Twist Reviewed by Christina Wantz Fixemer |

Pastor Matt Greenlee has a secret that his congregation is sure to frown upon: he writes a bestselling science fictions series as Morgan Grimaldi. Although Matt sees nothing wrong with good sci-fi, he knows there are some churchgoers who see it as wrong. As long as he can keep his secret, his ministry at New Hope Christian Church should be just fine. Up-and-coming editor AJ Mercer has a difficult new client. He’s resistant to her opinions of his manuscript. Even worse, he’s a pastor, and he has a great face and the strong hands of a baseball player. If they can just keep things on a professional level, everything will be fine. Matt is torn between ministry, writing, and the temptation of falling in love with an unbeliever. AJ is torn between an unconventional upbringing where Christians and men were suspect, and the hope offered by a new faith and its good-looking shepherd. Author Deborah Kinnard has added in her own twist on the inspirational romance. She poses the question of whether God’s love and the love of man can bridge the gaps of prejudice to open new doors into the future. Conservative and liberal bents are met head on in what grows into a sweet and fulfilling story of love and faith. Reviewed by Christina Wantz Fixemer
